Our goal is to wean the patient from the ventilator when weaning is possible. At Tranquility, our vent care programs include education, advanced therapies and clinical measures, patient encouragement strategies, and complex care coordination.
We have a state-of-the-art respiration system that allows patient rooms to be free of noisy equipment. Our respiration system is centralized, which means the rooms are peaceful and without the noise of respirators, oxygen concentrators and other equipment. Our stellar care is unsurpassed.
Tranquility accepts patients who not only show potential for ventilator weaning, but also those who may need long-term care. These patients are at greater risk for developing infections because their respiratory systems are already compromised. We take all precautions to make sure this complication does not develop. Our staff goes through rigorous training in airway care.
While this is not an all-inclusive list, our vent care residents may have lung cancer, asthma, cystic fibrosis, emphysema, COPD, infections and issues caused by smoking and exposure to various toxins.
